Press releases are similar in many ways to article writing, but are a little different in style and purpose. These are of course more like "news" items, and should be written with that in mind. Create a good newsworthy headline, write the content in a factual, straight-forward way, and keep the release incomplete in some way so that the reader is enticed to follow the link to your website.

A great resource to learn more about press releases and in general getting publicity for your website and yourself is Joe Vitale. These concepts are a little more advanced, but are very powerful in terms of delivered "pre-sold" traffic to you. You can learn more about these ideas here:   .

 

Next I am going to talk to you about a strategy that isn’t used very often, but should be a part of your arsenal in the right circumstances: directly buying traffic to your site. I will talk about social networking sites and their use in a later section, which is the final strategy discussed for generating links to your website.
