Section 10: Buying Traffic 

Once you have your site established enough that you know specifically how well your site is doing in terms of number of people that are opting in to your autoresponder, and know the percentage of visitors that buy a product (so that you have some dollar value associated to a visitor) you are in a position to be able to purchase traffic directly. This can be a good move, if the numbers are right and the traffic can be somewhat targeted.

Keep in mind that the traffic will not perform nearly as well as something like the best keywords in your PPC campaign (as it will not be THAT targeted), so you do need a fair cushion built in. But, if you have lots of good content, lots of good reasons to return, and at least several ways to make money from your site, then you should be in a good position to send traffic to your site for a price. The best source I’ve found to do this is:   . At the lower end of traffic purchase, you get traffic at .8 cents/visitor, and at the higher end for only .4 cents/visitor. The traffic here comes from a network of sites that have expired, but have related traffic, and are funneled to your site in exchange for your payment.

Again, this is an advanced strategy, but a great way to pump a large number of visitors to your site in a hurry. As with all methods, test it out with a smaller investment, track it closely (using hypertracker), and then scale it up if it makes sense.
