I’m going to have MANY more free reports and e-guides coming out soon, covering many different topics; you’ll be the first to have access when I do via e-mail (and here if you follow me on Twitter.)

What I’m going to do here is give a high level review of many different products and tools, with a link out to where to get those, as well as (soon to come) a link out to a more detailed review of each. I’m going to break this up into two major sections, Network Marketing Training and then Internet Marketing. The Internet Marketing section will be further broken into both training and tools, and will generally be applicable for MLM / Network Marketing as well.



PLEASE, Don’t be intimidated by the amount of material here. We’ll just take this step by step, together, depending on what you know already, what your goals are, how much time and money you have to invest in your business and yourself, and what overall approach and market(s) you want to be involved with. Ok, so on to the tools that you’ll want to take a serious look at, as well as some useful tips scattered throughout. Just click on the title below to be taken to a quick summary, or better yet scan through them all. What you’ll need will depend on your current level, as well as what your income goals are at what market(s) you are in, but I’ve highlighted all the "must haves" (in my opinion) below. When you buy, study, and use the "must haves" below you’ll be ahead of 99% of everyone else. Building on a Budget by Mike Dillard – Believe it or not, you are NOT at a disadvantage if you don’t have a lot of money to invest in your business at this point. You just need a different approach. Mike walks through many ways that you can start marketing online for a very low cost, and in many cases for free. Even if you do have a decent advertising budget, you should learn, apply, and teach these strategies. The cost here is only $50.          

 

SureFire Sponsoring by Mark Wieser – Learn from the master. (He sponsored 258 people in one year into his opportunity, with an average buy-in of $400 to $800. If you don’t want to learn what he has to say, you honestly should find a different business.) How to get your mind right, how to work with prospects, how to build instant rapport, how to position yourself as an expert, never try to convince or sell anyone. Also, how to sponsor your warm market, local market, and cold market. Includes several bonus e-books and a great audio too. This is required reading for anyone in MY downline. And, the cost is only $27. I think Mark actually really under-priced this. I actually spoke with him on the phone last week, he is a great guy and a natural teacher. 

 

Black Belt Recruiting by Mike Dillard and Mark Wieser – Getting leads is only the first step, you also need to know how to talk to them on the phone. This 6 audio cd set & manual covers extensive material that you need to know and teach to get the most out of your marketing efforts. Learn how to position yourself and be an expert and an educator rather than trying to sell. How to deal with objections, the tone you need to take with prospects, being in the right frame of mind, and much, much more. If you want to develop your own cold market leads or buy leads to work with (not that you have to do either, but most people do need to go here to ultimately be successful), this is really indispensible. Todd Falcone’s Little Black Book of Scripts - I just discovered Todd’s products recently, and so far he is really awesome. His book of scripts and 2 cds that come with it (including e-mails to send) are WELL worth the $50 he charges for that. That is a great place to start the learning process of how to communicate about your business to both your warm market and cold market. I haven’t tried any of the more expensive training materials yet, but am going to pick up the Cold Lead Mastery Course today. I’ll report back on what I learn there, I expect that to be top notch training as well. The only thing I don’t like about Todd is that he doesn’t seem to have an affiliate program! He does have alot of free training, including calls every Monday night and now Wednesday night that are recorded and posted free at MLM Power Hour . (He was Mark Wieser’s sponsor, there is a great free one hour interview at that site.)

 

Deagan Smith’s PowerProspecting System - There are basically 3 full "funded proposal" Network Marketing systems: Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring (and associated products), Deagan Smith’s PowerProspecting System, and Ann Sieg’s Renegade Networker.  (Until mine comes out later this year!) Here is my take on all three:

   -Mike Dillard - His stuff is just top notch. In my opinion, he’s got a great writing style, world perspective, and a great team that he collaborates with. In my humble opinion, if you want to do anything online for MLM / Network Marketing, 3 of his products are a must have:  Magnetic Sponsoring, Black Belt Recruiting, and SureFire Sponsoring (actually, the last one is Mark Wieser’s.) I WISH when I started out, someone would have told me: a) you HAVE to do part of your business online  b) buy the three products I just told you about  c) get a webpage and start learning internet marketing basics (the free report from me that you have coming to your inbox gets you started off in the right direction). So, if you are just starting off, or never heard those three tips from anyone, you are a step ahead of everyone else!

  -Deagan Smith’s PowerProspecting System - Since there are only three systems out right now, and the cost is really low, it would be silly to not learn all three if you had the time to do so. I have purchased this, and read through some, but I have been studying alot of different things (as you can see), so I have NOT finished this yet and can’t give a full review analysis yet. I will say that Mike’s stuff is more expansive in terms of topics covered, but even still I have picked up a few ideas from Deagan already. PLUS, he seems to help you brand yourself a little better than Mike seems to. Based on that, I do recommend checking this out. I give it a four star rating now, but might bump that once I finish studying it.            

 

Ann Sieg’s RenegadeMarketer - I have not gone through this yet. I was initially turned off by this based on how it was promoted in Adwords, but I can’t blame Ann for that. When time permits over the next few weeks, I will go back and give this a fair review. In the meantime, I can’t give an honest assessment, but did want to provide it here since it is one of only three full funded proposal MLM systems out there that I am aware of. (until mine comes out soon!)

 

 

Commission Blueprint  – Learn (in a REALLY precise way) how to use clickbank and adwords together to create an online income at home. They go over product analysis, keyword research, domain purchasing strategies, campaign set up and management, and how to scale up positive results. I just got this today (went through the whole thing, which is easily 4 hours or more) and it is really thorough and very useful. They don’t go over absolute basics, but those are easy enough. Call or e-mail me if you have questions on that (adwords basics, how to use the free adwords editor, etc.) Keep in mind: not ALL of your campaigns will be successful. But, if you follow the strategies presented here, you can pick probable winners to start with, and then run with the 1 out of 4 to 6 that is an actual winner.  This is a five start rating. At $77, this is an absolute no-brainer .

 

Definitive Guide To Google Adwords - This is the standard guide for learning the ins and outs of Adwords, and is really a must read. Perry Marshall’s writing style is very professional and engaging, nothing sensational or "scammy" feeling about this at all. You can buy this for $50, or get it included by joining his $30/month club (and cancel that anytime you’d like to.) This is a great supplement to Commission Blueprint, and absolutely needed if you are a beginner. If you are serious about making money online as a real business, you need to have this one too. Five star rating.

 

Google Cash - This was the standard guide for affiliate marketing in the past. It is really thorough, some parts are somewhat outdated (specifically on landing pages), but Chris has made updates as time has gone on. This has decent supplemental knowledge to go with Commission Blueprint. Recommended by Perry Marshall for anyone wanting to get into affiliate marketing. I give this one a four star, and do recommend it .    

 

Google Snatch - Presents valid strategy for promoting affiliate products, but in a very different way from Commission Blueprint and Google Cash: NO ADWORDS! Do I recommend Google Snatch, absolutely. Do I recommend NOT using Adwords? NO. You need to use adwords to not only test products and keywords as a proof of concept, but also to KNOW where to focus your efforts. You just have to be careful in your testing, then scale up wisely. A component to scaling up is what Google Snatch covers. It is possible to make a living strictly using Adwords and affiliate products, but I would absolutely recommend aggressively scaling up efforts that are already proven and paying off. I give this four stars , you’ll want this one AFTER Commission Blueprint.

 

Google Snatch 2.0 - Honestly, I just haven’t gotten around to picking this one up yet, as I have a few more programs to finish up. I will get this one and study within the next few days, and update a review here. Based on the strength of the first one, I still recommend this . Looks like there is alot of great stuff here. I’ll give it 3 stars until I review it, but anticipating this to be five star.



 

SEO Made Easy - Great e-book on the basics of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Good even if you already know some SEO. I give this a must have, and five star rating, since it is free too.

Michael Wong Search Engine Optimization book - Mike has some first page and first position Google results for OTHER internet marketers. That is pretty cool, based to a significant part on how he has structured his pages. If you are going to do anything in terms of trying to get free, organic search results, you’ll want to know what he has to say. Four Star, solid recommendation here.

 

Joe Vitale’s Hypnotic Marketing 2.0 - The most important skill you need to learn to be successful with internet marketing is copy-writing. You need to be able to effectively communicate with words, of course, because that is what the internet is made of! Of course, with the whole social web 2.0 phenomenon, audio and video production is becoming a bigger and very important component, but communicating effectively with words will remain the cornerstone of effective online marketing. I’ve been through some of Joe’s material (of "The Secret" fame), and it is excellent. You can peruse his newest work of applying marketing to the social web here .  (Check out the special he offers here after ordering too, it is a huge discount on one of his popular products.) Easy five star rating, I’ll be back with additional recommendations from Joe soon.          

 

Stompernet - If you haven’t seen some of Stompernet’s free videos, you really need to, and you can watch them all right here! They are, frankly, awesome. They have a "faculty" of experts in many fields of online marketing, and I’ve learned some really great stuff just watching their free videos, about topics as varied as social web 2.0, heat maps for websites, and double content penalties that you might be impacted by already and not even be aware of. Check them out here. I’m currently going through a 16 dvd set that they produced that is no longer available for purchase. (Sometimes it shows up for sale on e-bay, which is a great way to get a cheaper education, by the way, especially for products that you wouldn’t otherwise have access to.) Another easy five star rating, this would even be six stars, if I could find an extra one….  





Traffic Secrets 2.0- John Reese’s new program is an easy five star, must have program, especially if you are a beginner, but even if you are having success online. He covers so many important strategies here, and lays everything out in precise blueprints too, which is awesome. I would say I honestly learned 20 new powerful concepts that I wasn’t aware of, and I’ve been studying like crazy for months. John created a $500,000+ per year income in 2005, WITHOUT SELLING ONE THING, based strictly on traffic monetization through Adsense, starting from scratch. So, I think you just might want to hear what he has to say. And, getting this product gets you access to a private community, which is a tremendous asset for networking and asking questions. Just check out the sales page tosee everything he covers , pretty intense. $397, but worth many times that.









 

  Recommended Blog Software -Although there are several great blogging platforms to use, wordpress is by far the most popular and has great functionality, ease of use, and many theme developers (so there are many templates for you already made to choose from). You can use this service for free, and I STRONGLY recommend using it for your entire site, especially if you don’t have any experience in creating a website. It is easy to use with godaddy too. I’m going to make a video in the next day or two on how to do that, as well as a free report on how to set it up, which plug ins you’ll want to add for added functionality, how to set up and integrate an opt-in form, adsense ads, RSS feeds, and much more. 

 

Autoresponders - You need to be able to communicate with people who visit your website and then leave, especially if you are doing anything with network marketing. Otherwise, you are leaving money, opportunity, and friends on the table. Although social media sites are literally exploding in popularity, and will have to be part of your marketing efforts, e-mail will remain the most important way to communicate with people for the medium-term (and possibly indefinitely, though the form may change). There are 3 popular auto-responder services that I recommend (I use 1shoppingcart myself). They are:

 

1. 1shoppingcart - This is the service I recommend that you use and the one I use myself. It is slightly more expensive than the others, but the basic package (which includes everything you’ll need to get started) is just $29 per month.  The nice thing about 1shoppingcart is that you can upgrade to also accept payments via a shopping cart (when/if you have your own product to sell), so you won’t need to add a different service at that point. And, you can even manage your own affiliate program from here, which you may want to do at a later time.

The other big bonus here is that you can set your e-mail campaigns to be sharable so that others can import your messages. This is how you can use my e-mail series, I’ll tell you more about that on the next page.

 

2. GetResponse - This is a very popular service, and is only $18 per month. If you know that you will never want to expand further into internet marketing, by offering your own info product to sell at some future time (which I can help you with), this is a great service to use.

 

3. Aweber - This is another popular service, only $20 per month.





 

Keyword Research Tools - Understanding search volumes for keywords, and getting keyword ideas to help you build a relevant list, is of course the foundation for any marketing that you are going to do through search engines, whether it is through paid ads or free, organic results. The tools I recommend are google’s own free tool (you can access that once you open your adwords account), and wordtracker. You can do some free research at wordtracker here, and you can get a week long trial version of their paid tool here . If you like it, and find it as useful as I do, you can get it for one month at about $60, or for $27 per month. Both Google’s free tool, and Wordtracker are strong five star products.

 

Google Goggles - This is a really new tool, but in my opinion is a must have. If you have ever run an adwords campaign, you know how frustrating it can be. This tool allows you to look at your ad copy and landing site BEFORE putting it live on google, and let’s you know what Google is likely to think of you. That way, you can make corrections before hand. (Oh, by the way, if you aren’t already using it, you really need to get Google’s free google adwords editor to manage your adwords campaign. I’m going to have a report on using that soon too, if you aren’t yet familiar.) You can check out their video here . Cost is one-time $97, and an ongoing $14. If you are going to be using adwords as a significant portion of your business, like you should be, you really need to get this. This is a five star product for sure.    





Keyword Elite - This is a pretty cool tool that allows you to do some pretty cool things, like additional keyword research, analyzing pay per click listings, spying on competitors, and analyzing natural keyword competitors too. This is a strong four star product. (See special below if you buy SEOelite.) 

 

SEOelite - This is a great tool to use to analyze competitors in a very in depth way that appear in the top of your chosen keyword results. If you know exactly what they are doing, then you just need to do a little better to get the top spots. I wouldn’t get too overly involved in all the technical aspects here, always focus on producing good content and doing basic SEO. This tool absolutely guides you in that process. Get SEOelite and you can get a deal on Keyword Elite , if they are still running the special.  





NOTE: Social Web 2.0 is radically changing the internet and the search results landscape. I’ve seen a report that indicates that nearly 2 out of the top 10 results in Google search returns for a wide sampling of "money" terms are coming from social web sites. Additionally, Facebook gets nearly equal traffic that Google gets, Myspace actually got MORE traffic in 2007, and Youtube gets DOUBLE Google’s traffic. And this is just the BEGINNING. Yeah, I would say an internet revolution is well underway. That is NOT to say that keyword research, copy-writing, and basic SEO principles are going to be less important. In fact, they will become even MORE important, because when used correctly WITH social media, they can explode your results. I’m hearing some cases of people getting first page results in Google within MINUTES or HOURS of posting, versus the old-school standard of MONTHS.  I’m currently reviewing several products not available for purchase, and will be synthesizing that into an in-depth free report shortly. I’ll shoot you an e-mail (or a Twitter!) as soon as I have that for you.



There is going to be a relatively short window of "easy pickins" using these strategies over the next 12 months. Let’s both be sure to be on the right side of this wave!
